It compresses the area and retains the body heat to allay local pain and inflammation and maintains the thumb in its neutral abduction position .It helps in Tendonitis, Tenosynovitis,Carpal tunnel syndrome , Carpo – metacarpal joint injury , Sprain and strain and Ligamentous laxity of thumb.
